Dos:
Use a sulfate-free shampoo.
Utilize alcohol-free hair products.
Employ an extensions-friendly detangling brush.
Avoid applying heat or styling tools to your roots and extension bonds.
Loosely braid or gather your hair into a pony at bedtime.
Apply a heat protectant when styling your hair.
Wait at least 24 hours after application before washing your hair; 36 hours is even better.
Don'ts:
Brush wet hair, as this can pull out the extensions.
Wash your hair daily; use a dry shampoo if needed.
Avoid using conditioner near roots and bonds.
Refrain from using coconut oil-based products on your extensions; Argan oil products are acceptable.
Do not towel-dry your hair or pull at your extensions.
Avoid dyeing or treating your hair 24 hours before application.
Refrain from dyeing or treating your hair 36 hours after application.
Resist tying your hair up in the week following application; your hair and roots need time to adjust to their new style, and pulling and tugging may damage your hair and extensions.
