Known as the skin hair system, this hairpiece lives up to its name by replicating the look and feel of natural skin. Constructed from a thin, clear plastic base akin to plastic wrap but thicker, the hair is meticulously injected, v-looped, or knotted onto the base, mimicking the movement of natural hair. Particularly in the frontal area, the skin base seamlessly blends with your skin, creating the illusion of hair growing directly from the scalp for an incredibly natural appearance. Made of polyurethane, also known as Poly or PU, the thin substrate is pure polyurethane, distinct from NPU.
While the thin skin base is the simplest to attach, it's essential to handle it with care during removal and cleaning to prevent damage. Yiyohair offers various skin bases with varying thicknesses, measured precisely, such as ultra-thin skin with a thickness of 0.02mm-0.04mm and thin skin ranging from 0.04mm-0.06mm, each directly impacting the hair replacement system's lifespan.
The ultra-thin skin hair system, with a thickness of 0.02-0.04mm, provides a near-invisible and lightweight feel, making it a popular choice for men who discard it after around a month of wear. Thicker skin bases, such as 0.04-0.06mm and 0.06-0.08mm, offer enhanced durability, catering to wearers desiring longer use without frequent removal and cleaning. These substrates are known as thin peel, transparent PU, transparent peel, and transparent poly. Ventilation options for skin hair systems include V-looped, injected, and single knot methods, determining how hair is tied to the base.
Skin base toupees are compatible with various hair densities:
0.02-0.04mm skin = Extra light to Light density (60%-100%)
0.04-0.08mm skin = Light to Medium light density (80%-120%)
0.08-0.12mm skin = Medium light to Medium density (100%-140%)
0.12-0.14mm and thicker skin base = Medium to heavy density (120%-160%)
Hair density indicates the thickness and weight of the hair, determined by the number of knots per square centimeter. The thinner the skin base, the less hair it can accommodate, necessitating a careful balance to avoid damage. This analogy compares it to load-bearing walls in a house, having a limit to the weight they can bear.

Return Policy: Stock Hairpieces
You have a7-day window from the purchase date to return your untouched hairpiece for a full refund, excluding the shipping fee. A restocking charge of $15.00 or more per item will be applied if the returned item is not in its original condition and packaging. To avoid the restocking fee, ensure that we receive the hairpiece or item in the same condition as you received it. We do not accept used and washed hairpieces, and it is crucial to ensure that the net covering and molds are intact.If you have chosen a final sale hairpiece, such as a base cut, hair styling, bleached knots, perm, or any service that permanently alters the hairpiece, it can no longer be returned or exchanged
